Expertise We Look For
Admittedly, expectations on this team are high – for a reason. The complex, highly specialized programs that our government and military customers entrust to L3Harris demand it.
There are varying degrees of subject matter expertise associated with Program Management – whether it’s Program Scheduling all the way to a Principal Program Manager.
Generally speaking, Program Managers have the authority of a GM for program decisions and are empowered to ensure program requirements are met within schedule, budget, quality, and performance expectations. They are also responsible for proposal support, project planning and execution, including customer interface, status reporting, stakeholder management, supervision of technical and administrative support staff, oversight of subcontracts, and internal management reporting.

- Earned Value Analysis and Management
- Communication and Reporting, Program Reviews
- Contractual technical and performance specifications.
- Program plans, win strategies, capture plans and proposal plans including the preparation of work breakdown structures, budgets, network plans, risk and cost reduction plans.
- Monitoring program progress, exercising control of schedules, reporting and the preparation of reports and contractual data.
- Cost, schedule, performance management or technical data
- Contract negotiations, applying a breadth of contract management knowledge and requirements management expertise.

Skills and Competencies We Look For
We look for a variety of experiences and skills for our team. If you are able to identify the following within your own inventory of skills and experiences, we would be thrilled if you joined others like you in our talent community.
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of recent and relevant planning experience in a DoD environment or 2 years minimum related experience with Master’s degree.
- And MBA, PMP or P.Eng certification is always highly desirable
- Prior experience in engineering and operations/manufacturing environment.
- Effectively working with IPTs
- Military contractor / Defense industry background is also highly desirable
- Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), and Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR)
- A thorough understanding of EVMS principles including EVMS Standard (EIA 748-D)
- The ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Managing large scale system integration programs in either the Airborne, Maritime, Land or Space domains
- Experience with military programs across all branches
