The Sr Specialist, Program Finance Analyst is responsible for the financial management, review and estimating of assigned programs. They partners with program management teams to analyze and understand their financial position. The analyst will prepare monthly customer financial reports, verify actual cost reporting, provide variance analysis, and support monthly closing activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Tracking, monitoring, and analyzing cost performance on programs.
  • Proactively work with Program Management in supporting the programs’ financial performance and requirements.
  • Review project billings to ensure subcontract and customer invoices are accurate.

  • •Make recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience.
  • •Identify, generate and ensure the proper recording and documentation of any required correcting entries.
  • •Ensure project setup within the ERP meets the need of both the company and the contract's reporting needs.
  • •Responsible for ensuring contract modifications are accurately and appropriately recorded.
  • •Support cost and pricing proposals.
  • •Other special projects as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 6+ years of relevant work experience; Graduate Degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, as well as familiarity with DFAR, FAR and CAS.
  • Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Strong sense of initiative, independence, closure, and ability to navigate multiple priorities in a tight-deadline, high-volume environment
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
    • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

•Knowledge of EVMS processes preferred

•Extensive knowledge and hands-on application of Deltek Costpoint modules (i.e., Project Revenue and Costs, General Ledger, Materials Management, and Inventory Management) and Cognos reporting tools.
