About Aeromet

L3Harris -Aeromet is a Division of Integrated Mission Systems Segment with its main office is located in Tulsa, OK. L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems.

Job Description:

Successful candidates for Electrical Engineer will have a demonstrated ability:

  • Design modifications for special mission aircraft. Such modifications typically include the design of electrical power distribution systems, developing electrical loads analysis, wiring diagrams and harness fab drawings.
  • Utilize experience with cockpit avionics upgrades, navigation and communications systems and integration to meet FAA or Military flight safety standards.
  • Analyze the impact to the host platform that the design changes cause and use this analysis during the design phase to ensure that the overall impact to airworthiness is minimized.
  • Effectively communicate as part of a multi-disciplinary team working together to ensure that the aircraft systems contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Knowledge of the airworthiness process is a must and the ability to iterate design approaches with the cognizant airworthiness authorities is critical.

Essential Functions:

  • Candidates must be comfortable working with standard MS Office tools as well as have demonstrated experience on an advanced CAD system for electrical system and wire harness design and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Candidates will have demonstrated that they can conceive and work through a relatively complex design process from start to finish.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years BS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years MS Degree in a related field or have 6 years relative experience.
  • Aircraft electrical/wire harness design is required
  • U.S. Citizenship and either have a security clearance or be able obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • A working knowledge or experience with Capital Logic/Harness software tools and TeamCenter PLM system is desired.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work any shift, weekends and overtime, as required.
  • Travel up to 15%, or as required.
