About Aeromet

L3Harris -Aeromet is a Division of Integrated Mission Systems Segment and main office is located in Tulsa, OK.  L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems.

Job Description:

L3 Aeromet is accepting candidates for the Software Services (SW) Deputy Program Manager (DPM) position. The SW DPM position supports the Software Service Program Manager to effectively and efficiently manage the Software Services contract scope with respect to Development, Integration, and Operation and Sustainment (O&S) of new and existing software. The SW DPM jointly assists in driving program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Jointly responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Assists in the coordination preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

Acts as a customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Helps establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.  Works with site management and customers to advance capabilities and grow product line. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.

Assists in directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. May act as primary customer contact for certain program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Project Finance (budgeting, forecasting, and analysis)
  • Experience working MS Office Product Suite (including MS Project)
  • Communication (works across multiple levels within the company and direct customer interface)
  • Planning and change management
  • Reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. OR
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • DoD SECRET or higher clearance (preferred) OR
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain DoD SECRET or higher clearance
  • Familiarity or experience in Agile environments using SCRUM methodologies to execute software programs.
  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages i.e. C++, JAVA, and/or others a plus
  • Candidates should be leaders comfortable with leading in a high-growth and dynamic business area subject to frequent changes and updates.
