Job Description:
Responsible for leading, developing, and coaching facilities personnel work teams within the Tempe manufacturing operation. This position will have responsibility for the safety, cost, quality, delivery, and productivity. The leader of this area is responsible for all facilities planning, including major and minor moves and all building modifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for managing the maintenance of the physical plant systems.
- Responsible for maintaining projections and forecast for Facilities Utilization.
- Interprets and administers existing policies; develops, documents, implements and communicates changes to existing policies, processes or procedures as required.
- Ensures emergency back-up plans and systems are in order and maintained.
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment
- Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
- Tracks, analyzes and improves key facilities/maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
- Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate facilities, maintenance and repair work in process areas.
- Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians.
- Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Supervises facilities technicians; lead, direct and assign work, perform all employee feedback and reviews.
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the Facilities and Maintenance are met at all times.
- Provide 5 years capital forecast plan.
- United States citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance within 1 year of hire date
- Deep hands on knowledge of HVAC systems
- Required:
- Must be able to effectively flow down goals from Manager into measurable tasks to subordinate levels.
- Must be able to provide effective coaching and mentoring to develop a high performing work team.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems.
- Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
- A high level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize work of department, able to think and plan proactively, excellent communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of progressive experience in Facilitie
