Job Description
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will primarily be responsible to ensure QA compliance across all customer deliverables by identifying and managing risks, developing new test methods, and conducting tests during development and before product releases.
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer applies specialist knowledge to effectively solve the most complex tasks to achieve anticipated results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain solutions to support complex software and hardware testing
- Collaborate with software/product owners to determine quality assurance parameters
- Designing and implementing QA procedures to ensure effective test coverage
- Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product
- Troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures in response to customer complaints and product issues. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are fixed
- Drive continuous improvement, recommending and implementing enhancements to test processes and procedures
- Ensure test environments are maintained to maximise availability
- Assist in trialling, implementing and running test automation solutions
Skills and Experience
- Proficient scripting language skills, Python is preferred
- Experience with Linux, Windows, Android and iOS environments
- Experience with virtualisation and containerisation
- Experience automating manual tasks with a high-level language.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with web server architectures, management, and associated protocols
- Understanding of CI/CD & DevOps principles; GitLab experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proactivity and willingness to take responsibility
Requirements
- 5+ years of product testing and test development experience in a commercial environment
- Proven application testing experience across a range of platforms including Linux, Windows, Android and iOS
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Must be eligible for, or be a current holder of an Australian Security Clearance
- The candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience
- STQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent test process training desirable
Security Requirements
Candidates may be required to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance as a condition of their employment.
Candidates will only be considered for a position at L3Harris Technologies if they are eligible to hold a security clearance.
