Job Title: Sr Associate, Technical Training

Job Description:

This candidate may perform moderately complex engineering analysis and design tasks. The candidate will document the results of analysis design tasks. The candidate will work a part of a project or task team. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to research technical documentation and development of test procedures. The candidate should be resourceful and responsible if tasked to work alone.

Essential Functions:

  • Being thoroughly familiar with PADDIE, NAVEDTRA 130 Series, to include: Conducting Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), Front End Analysis (FEA), and analyzing program specifications and developing program manpower, personnel, and training requirements using standard DoD and/or Navy algorithms and processes.
  • Planning, developing, and coordinating in-house product training programs, and Navy Pipeline Training for field support personnel and customers.
  • Obtaining government furnished information (GFI) needed to prepare in-house training.
  • Prepare training materials; develop course content; determine methodology.
  • Coordinate the development of training aids. Conduct training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  • Continuously revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
  • May also be utilized to augment engineering staff.
  • Provide distance and on-site support for C5I equipment both for Aegis and SSDS platforms
  • Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices and procedures
  • Conduct basic functions using Lynux or Unix commands on C5I equipment.
  • Provide daily progress status on training efforts

Qualifications: (refer to Career Framework)

  • Secret Clearance at time of hire
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline is desired
  • Six (6) years of full-time professional experience in developing Navy training and training equipment programs, plans, curriculum, documentation, and materials for complex electronic systems. This experience shall include being thoroughly familiar with PADDIE, NAVEDTRA 130 series to include conducting Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), Front End Analysis (FEA), and analyzing program specifications and developing program manpower, personnel, and training requirements using standard DoD and/or Navy algorithms and processes. Must have a naval combat system/subsystem maintenance background in professional disciplines of Fire Control, Electronic Technician, Electronic Warfare, or Data Systems. Experience with Operator or Maintenance Navy Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT), BFTT Electronic Warfare Trainer (BEWT), Fleet Synthetic Training, AWS, SSDS. A detailed knowledge of the AEGIS or Combat System Suite is desired
  • Candidate must have effective oral and verbal communications

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • NEC 9502 and Master Training Specialist
  • Candidate must have above average expertise in Microsoft Office applications particularly MS Power Point, MS Excel and MS Word (e.g. development of forms)
  • Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with MS Office suite to include Access and Project
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and writing skills are critical
