Job Description:

Lead and support Operations and Mission Assurance activities as they apply to proposals, new product development, new product introduction, manufacturing, root-cause investigations, development of corrective actions, customer support, and continuous improvement. Serve as primary point-of-contact (POC) to assigned Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) potentially across multiple product lines supporting assembly and test of electronic assemblies. Support Materials and Process (M&P) engineering activities during design reviews and in support of product delivery.

Essential Functions:

  • Support proposal activities including reviewing contractual requirements, preparing compliance matrices, and establishing basis of estimate (BOE) models for recurring and non-recurring tasks
  • Work closely with other members of cross functional IPTs to oversee development and transfer of new products from Engineering to Production
  • Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessments for new products
  • Establish manufacturing processes, validate process equipment, develop manufacturing tooling, and qualify materials required for new product introduction (NPI)
  • Create work instructions, assembly routings, and establish associated labor/cycle time standards. Perform economic analyses to identify and address variances in planned labor/cycle times.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop/implement corrective actions to address product non-conformances and RMAs
  • Support M&P activities including creating/maintaining As-Designed and As-Built Materials and Process Lists
  • Create and deliver presentations to customers and senior management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with IPC and J-STD requirements for the manufacture of electronic assemblies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process experience
  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) experience
  • An active Secret (or higher) clearance
