L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Position Overview:

L3Harris, Broadband Communications Systems is seeking a Sr. Associate Software Engineer to develop software applications that can duplicate real world scenarios to prove equipment can meet end-user requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for writing test plans, test descriptions, test reports, along with executing tests and logging defects.
These applications would include, but not limited to, simulators, emulators, and automated scripts.
Testing will be performed at a system level on hardware using user interfaces, rather than at a lower component or unit level.
Employee will work with closely with systems engineers to integrate on various hardware platforms, as well as working closely working with other software and hardware engineers to identity issues.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in software development
Successful candidate will have skills in Java, C#, and Source Control (e.g. Git),
Self motivated and work for extended periods of time without direct supervision.
