Job Description:
L3Harris Broadband Communication Sector is currently seeking a Product Manager to support innovative RF Communications products in our portfolio. The successful candidate will develop a product strategy across the organization while working closely with program management, engineering, operations and finance. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- The Product Manager is chiefly responsible for all aspects for their assigned products, to include: product lifecycle management, sales, strategy, development, production, and financial performance. Specific functions to be performed under general supervision include:
- Leads and directs work of cross-functional teams comprised of skilled professionals in production, finance, engineering and administrative disciplines
- Interface with customers to understand Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Use Cases, and overall customer requirements and ‘desirements’ turning those into product requirements for engineering
- Provide leadership of the core product team to establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, validation, manufacture, integration and test activities
- May manage Internal Research And Development projects (IRAD) to develop new features and products (new product introduction and launch)
- Represent the voice of the customer within the plant
- Create roadmaps, market landscapes, and competitive landscape analysis
- Determine value-based product pricing based on market and competitive environment
- Create a long term vision to develop new business in existing markets or expand the product line to new markets
- Promote products through creating marketing material, launch plans, and various other sales tools to support internal and external customers
- Resolve internal performance issues arising from engineering design or operations production
- Manage budgets for product improvements and defect resolutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of professional experience (some experience can be prior to degree, i.e. military service)
- Experience creating and delivering professional presentations
- Strong technical aptitude
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Product, Project and/or Program Management experience
- Experience in DoD industry; familiarity with Military User community is a plus
