L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Director, Program Management, Air Wing of the Future to join our team. This position will be based in Salt Lake City, UT.

Position Overview:

The Director, Program Management, Air Wing of the Future will lead growth and capture activities within the Navy business area with a focus on integrated communication systems. This includes directing and leading customer interactions, capture strategy development, business case development, investment planning, capture gating process, pipeline growth, business account management including sales and marketing budgets, CRM management, and development of 1-yr, 3-yr and 5-yr business plans. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the US DoD requirements, budget and acquisition processes, and be well versed in engaging with DoD subject matter experts in all areas of the acquisition process.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop capture plans to shape and win new business pursuits aligned with a multi-year strategic plan.
  • Lead capture activities across a multi-functional capture team to develop integrated comms system offerings aligned to capture new business plans.
  • Provide warfighter perspective and input to engineering and technical experts to fulfill customer expectations, increase program success, capture new programs, and expand business pipeline.
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage existing relationships with key customers, decision makers, and acquisition officials.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key supplier partners.
  • Manage capture gating process including engagement with executive leadership.
  • Manage S&M (Sales & Marketing) and B&P (Bid & Proposal) budgets, expenditure, and prioritization.
  • Develop and refine and update business cases to capture new business.
  • Enter and manage opportunities and capture efforts within CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database.
  • Develop strategic plans to advance business area objectives and promote revenue and profitability.
  • Lead, develop, and implement strategies for generating new customers in domestic markets.
  • Provide warfighter perspective and operational briefings from OA (Operational Analysis) and M&S (Modeling & Simulation) SME (Subject Matter Expert) material.
  • Lead CONOPS development and briefings in support of programs requirements shaping.
  • Evaluate new technologies and industry trends from a SME and warfighter perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related degree and fifteen (15) years of related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • An active DoD Top Security Clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Clearances (SAP)
  • 10+ years' experience in leading a capture team, shaping and capturing new business in the defense aerospace industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • Active Top Secret/SCI
  • 10+ years of experience in maritime C3ISR and strike capabilities
  • EW (Electronic Warfare) combat systems experience
  • Ability to generate and deliver articulate and persuasive briefings
  • Aptitude to clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  • Prior leadership and mentoring experience
  • Experience in budget management
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
  • Comfortable and skilled interacting with senior USG officials and L3H executives
