The Program Manager directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost; schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals; business plans; proposal work statements and specifications; operating budgets and financial teams/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities; leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost; schedule; and technical performance. Establishes design concepts; criteria and engineering efforts for product research; development; integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules; identifies program problems and obtains solutions; such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical; manufacturing and administrative areas
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field with a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) and/or antenna systems.
- Direct experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques; performance evaluation and change management principles.
- Demonstrated ability in the areas of manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control.
- Qualified applicant will possess excellent managerial and leadership skills.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- Working knowledge of system-level requirements design practices and hardware specification development.
- Demonstrated ability to work across internal functions and with outside suppliers to facilitate successful product completion/delivery.
- Current PMP certification.
- Position requires the flexibility to work on short notice, overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
