Job Description: THIS IS A DOD SKILLBRIDGE OPPORTUNITY. Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for RF assemblies, Antenna equipment installation, RF processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of test equipment within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of RF antenna systems to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Execute RF test plans for the qualification of complicated Rx and Tx antenna systems.
- Operate MVG anechoic chambers.
- Operate NSI Radome and far-field antenna ranges.
- Assemble Phase matched harnesses ±1ps.
- Facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in "core skills" areas to team members and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
- Lead production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including total quality management, manufacturing systems, material management, and process re-engineering
Qualifications:
- Eligible for Skillbridge per DoD instuction
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or other technical degree
- Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Knowledge of industry standard RF cable and connector manufactures. Their assembly processes and specifications.
- Experience troubleshooting Circuit Board assemblies to the component level
- Must have Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
- Proven team player with outstanding customer relationship skills.
- Must be able to travel domestically and work overtime as required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Management of cost and scheduling experience preferred.
