Description:

Job Title: Associate Manager, Aircraft Maintenance

Position Location: Rockwall, Texas

Summary:

Manages an offsite team of maintenance professionals and all aspects of Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance performed on assigned aircraft. Works with Program and Functional Management to ensure all maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is compliant with company policies and procedures, FAA regulations, and host-nation regulations as required by the contract.

Essential Functions:

This individual is responsible for the condition of aircraft assigned to this program, and their responsibilities include several essential functions which ensure the aircraft are safe for flight.

These essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Surveillance of TBO reports and OEM maintenance schedules and their team’s compliance with the maintenance programs

- Working with Site Manager and Logistics to ensure all needed material is forecasted, ordered, and received prior to need using TBO reports, OEM maintenance schedules, and predictive analytics

- Monitors Engine Trend Data, OEM Service Bulletins and FAA Airworthiness Directives. Works with Sr. Management to make recommendations for implementation of SBs and ADs, and works with Fleet Management staff to create Maintenance Alert Directives for release to the field

- Works with the SDR Accountable Manager (C3ISR Sr. PM) to ensure all assigned aircraft meet the approved configuration, and takes steps to ensure either the aircraft remain in configuration or assist with amending the approved configuration

- Monitors training of the off-site team and ensures compliance with requirements

- Takes feedback and works with the customer military personnel to develop initial and OJT training for their personnel

- Liaise between Site Team and OEMs to determine corrective actions for non-routine and/or non-standard repairs

- Reviews PARS TBO reports, audits historical records for each aircraft annually to support the “Biennial Airworthiness Review”

- Works with Quality Assurance to ensure Site Team is in compliance with all company procedures

- Assists Program and Functional Management with personnel actions (hiring, disciplinary, etc.)

- Ensures Site Team complies with all ITAR and DSP-5 (Export License) Provisos

- Assists Site and Program Management with coordination and deployment of supplemental personnel as required

- Works with Site Management and Logistics to identify opportunities for improvement to the Fly Away Kits (FAK) with the goal of reducing overall mobility footprint

- Will be required to deploy in support of this contract (up to 40%)

- Any other duties as-required to support mission and contract requirements

Required Education, Experience, Licensure:

- BS/BA in Business, Aviation Administration or a similar degree relevant for performance of the essential functions of this job description. Equivalent combination of education and experience to be considered.

- Minimum of nine (9) years’ experience supporting aircraft maintenance is required.

- FAA aircraft airframe and engine power plant (A&P) certification required.

Additional Qualifications:

- Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to generate and support pragmatic solutions while maintaining high quality standards.

- Strong analytical skills with high degree of detail orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)

- Experience in King Air Series aircraft and Pratt & Whitney PT6 series engines.

- Experience as an IA, QA Inspector, or DOM in a Part 91/145 or MRO environment supporting multiple aircraft is highly desired.
