Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Program Management

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing the cost, revenue, cash, schedule requirements of medium size, moderately complex USSOCOM programs through all phases from proposal to period of performance completion.
  • Ensures that all resources such as engineering, manpower, subcontracts, and line items are available to support internal and external delivery targets. Involved in defining deliverables, and guiding internals teams.
  • Formulates and executes long term plans for cost/profit control. Assists Sales team in securing new orders, formulating requirements, and expediting orders. Works with customers to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities.
  • Provide overall leadership for program management activities.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization which includes customers and subcontractors.
  • Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area.
  • Work to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices and approaches.
  • Recommends and implements strategies and operational plans that have measurable impact on the business and functional area results.
  • Requires strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management . Able to manage complex projects or processes with general oversight.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience. or, graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical background preferred
  • Previous experience managing medium size, moderately complex programs including development or system integration
  • Familiarity with tactical communication technology or C4I systems a plus
  • Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools
  • PMI certification and Earned Value Management experience a plus
  • Good understanding of sound business plan, investments, and business financials
  • Good leadership skills managing functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Self-motivate, good communication skills, and very organized
  • Avid multi-tasker
