Job Description:

  • Manager of NPI (New Product Introduction) Process ME’s (Manufacturing Engineers), AME’s (Advanced Manufacturing Engineers), and AQE’s (Advanced Quality Engineers). Ensure that team is operating within documented procedure and continuously improving process documentation.
  • Create standard Bill of Process. Development of standards for mechanical assembly strategies for new products including process design and development, integration of robotic and automation solutions, process documentation, and fixture development.
  • Create standard APQP documentation and ensure compliance. Use PFMEA techniques to identify robust processes and improve error proofing prior to production launch.
  • Manage the Design for Manufacturing efforts early in design and influence for ease of manufacturing. Meet with engineering leadership to understand new products in development.
  • Work with Director to create project lists in alignment with NPI strategic initiatives. Directs the execution of tactics established by functional leadership.
  • Establish new component technology roadmap and work with peers in production to integrate into functional technology roadmaps
  • Standard use of Lean Six Sigma philosophy/tools for ongoing improvements.
  • Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation.
  • Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function. Provides measurable input of new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results.
  • Recommends operational plans and tactics that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results. Establishes operational plans for job area with short- to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years).
  • Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources, and occasionally influences business decisions made by functional leadership.
  • May recommend and implement new products, processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of job function strategy

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad range of manufacturing experience in operations and/or process engineering.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and creative problem solving.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Uncompromising dedication to quality and a familiarity with APQP.
  • Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area.
  • Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
