L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking Electronic Technicians to join our team. This position will be based at our Rochester, NY facility. This position offers relocation.
Position Overview:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by conducting tests on a variety of RF or digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or end products.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Basic troubleshooting is the most critical responsibility and includes troubleshoots product, subassembly, and circuit board failures to component level
- Logging information in technical databases and interprets engineering schematics
- Uses basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers
- Works in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team
- Performs LabVIEW driven automated tests
- Utilizes basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory
- Uses MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- High School / Secondary Education plus 4+ years of technician or troubleshooting experience or 2 years post-secondary/ AA-AS Degree plus 0-2 years of technician or troubleshooting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree (technical discipline)
- Electronics / RF Troubleshooting Experience
- Experience with Harris RFCD products and assembly processes
- Able to read and understand schematic diagrams
- Familiarity with basic computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel (Unicam knowledge a plus)
