Responsible for production support of LMR radios in a world class electronics manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include analyzing yield data, root cause analysis, and implementing solutions/improvements in a high-volume manufacturing process. Interpret unit level RF and baseband test results and isolate defects to the component level. Develop test plans and work with vendors to identify defects and approve alternate parts. Assess product performance issues against customer use case and recommend actions to minimize overall business impact. Tasks include radio and accessory testing, designing test fixtures, documenting, evaluating and presenting test results. Additional duties include validating and troubleshooting in response to field failure reports.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with wireless communication test equipment and evaluation techniques
- Understanding of/experience with broadband technologies: Bluetooth, WiFi, and LTE
- Good team building and interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Labview and/or visual basic programming skills.
- Experience with product development and manufacturing introduction.
