Job Description:

The Configuration Management Associate performs configuration management (CM) functions to establish consistency of product performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information. The goal of CM is to ensure the integrity of system documentation, design artifacts (drawings/models), baselines, and associated configuration information using configuration processes and controls. This role may provide additional as-required support to the design and program management teams as a subject matter expert for analyses, consultations, special topic discussions, tools support, DevOps support, and other tasking.

Essential Functions:

• Understands and complies with Contract Statements of Work, policies, procedures, plans, and other technical documentation.
• Reviews documents, drawings, and associated records submitted by engineers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and contract personnel, modifying as needed to ensure clarity, compliance, and completeness.
• Provides guidance on methods and requirements to project individuals responsible for the creation of drawings, documentation, and associated records.
• Analyzes proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
• Acts as a liaison between project management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration documentation.
• Authorizes the review and release of drawing and document changes through the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
• Performs audits to verify compliance with contract requirements.
• Administers configuration management tools for access, issue tracking, and version control.
• Supports program audits including functional and physical configuration audits.
• Works with a high degree of attention to detail, is entrusted to enable on-time quality delivery of all work products for multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related intern experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, such as Agile PDM
• Knowledge of EIA-649B and MIL-STD-973 Configuration Management Principles
• Relevant professional training or certifications (CMPIC, NDIA, PMI)
• Active TS/SCI Clearance preferred
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
• Skilled in using computers and software including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills including active listening and ability to convey complex ideas in an easy to understand manner
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical information (data, documents, and drawings)
• Experience in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment
• Comfortable working both individually and as a team member to achieve objectives
• Expert time management skills and sense of urgency in meeting critical deadlines
• Skilled in prioritizing tasking to complete all assigned work in a timely manner
• Ability to remain calm and maintain professional demeanor under pressure
• Desire for continuous learning, training, and growth opportunities
• Willingness to work overtime, outside of normal business hours, and be on-call as needed to meet business needs
