Candidate will fill the role of a Production Test Engineer and be responsible for providing production test engineering support for aerospace and defense products, such as RF phased array antenna systems and sub assemblies tested on Special Test Equipment (STE). The engineer will be responsible for training and assisting test technicians in troubleshooting to component level and execution of manufacturing tests, including card level functional, assembly level ESS and qualification/acceptance testing as well as properly maintaining the test set and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for the collection of test data, review / analysis as applicable, and the generation of required failure and test reports to determine root cause-corrective action on failure trends.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for implementation of operational strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, EHS, and continuous improvement objectives for the assigned programs in the factory. Candidate will be accountable for driving key company, factory, and department initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or applicable engineering degree with minimum 4 years of relevant test solution, hardware and software lifecycle experience, OR, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or applicable engineering degree with 2+ years of relevant test solution, hardware and software lifecycle experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with the generation of test documentation (work orders, test procedures, test reports).
- Experience with non-conformance reports and trouble shooting.
- Experience leading groups of technicians to successfully execute a test program.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with National Instruments suite of software (LabVIEW and TestStand) and hardware products.
- Experience with RF test and measurement
- Strong Microsoft Office tool skills
- Strong technical, analytical and critical thinking / reasoning skills.
- Active security clearance is desired.
