Essential Functions:

Candidate will fill the role of a Test Set Development Engineer and be responsible for providing test engineering support for the development of Special Test Equipment (STE) used for the test of aerospace and defense products.  The engineer will be responsible for the design of Test Set Hardware, ITAs, cabling and the associated documention used to support the development of the Special Test Equipment (STE) racks.  This role will require the creation of creative solutions and will require the interaction between multiple functional disciplines in order to meet program milestones and financial objectives.  The candidate will also participate in the qualification of the Test Set to release to Integration & Test activities.  In addition, the candidate may be required to provide support for the Test Set functionality during Intergation & Test activities. The candidate will be responsible for the collection of test data, review / analysis as applicable, and the generation of required failure and test reports to determine root cause-corrective action on failure trends. 

In addition, the candidate will serve as a task leader for related efforts and be responsible for the development and implementation of operational strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, EHS, and continuous improvement objectives for the assigned programs in the factory. The candidate will be accountable for driving key company, factory, and department initiatives.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or applicable engineering degree with minimum 4 years of relevant test solution, hardware and software lifecycle experience, OR, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or applicable engineering degree with 2+ years of relevant test solution, hardware and software lifecycle experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with the generation of test documentation (work orders, test procedures, test reports).
  • Experience with non-conformance reports and trouble shooting.
  • Experience leading groups of technicians to successfully execute a test program.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with National Instruments suite of software (LabVIEW and TestStand) and hardware products. 
  • Experience with RF test and measurement
  • Strong Microsoft Office tool skills
  • Strong technical, analytical and critical thinking / reasoning skills.
  • Active security clearance is desired.
