Job Description:

Do you have what it takes to lead L3Harris Space Systems programs into the next era of space systems satellite programs? Are you interested in competing and winning new business opportunities related to space? Do you have what it takes to lead a keep-sold and capture campaign for a fixed price development program that is literally changing the game in responsive space? If so, L3Harris Space Systems is seeking a Program Manager for the ISR Space business to capture and execute responsive space programs. Overall responsibilities include working with the customer and leading the internal and subcontractor teams in capturing and executing space programs and/or studies with emphasis on technology development and mission solutions, including:

Essential Functions:

• Develop and manage the capture and keep-sold campaign for responsive space
• Engage with Business Development in driving long-term business strategy
• Manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of a program through all phases, inception to completion
• Develop and manage programmatic and financial forecasts
• Prepare proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budget, and financial terms/conditions of contract
• Responsible for high-level relationship management, evolve as recognized thought leader/trusted partner
• Fully understand customer mission gaps, constraints, and objectives
• Effectively communicate the L3Harris value proposition from a technical and programmatic perspective
• Ensure all resources such as engineering, production, and facilities are available to support the program
• Engage and lead engineering team to develop white papers to identify new studies
• Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
• Develop next generation talent through on-the-job mentoring
• Demonstrate high ethical standards and regard for the L3Harris Code of Conduct
• The Program Manager is accountable to the Division and L3Harris Corporation for the financial performance of the business area, achievement of our strategic and business goals, and performance of our solutions for current and prospective customers

Qualifications:

Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• 5 plus years of demonstrated and quantified experience in Capture and Business Development
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior program management or project/system engineering experience; OR, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior program management or project/system engineering experience
• Strategic thinker with capacity to manage business complexity and to identify and focus on top priorities
• Experience collaborating across varied and diverse organizations

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of space technology
• Solid technical background with strong business acumen is preferred
• Knowledge of Government contracting practices, Earned Value Management (EVMS), and standard program reporting metrics
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
• Pursuit and proposal development experience
• Familiarity with the Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force, and Intelligence Community
• Experience implementing strategies to influence external stakeholders for business advantag
• Experience planning, organizing, and directing work that provides best value solutions to the customer and L3Harris
• Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, even when having no direct authority over them
• Can interpret, condense, and present findings to audiences with variable skill sets and experience levels
• Strong technical skills in relation to end-to-end space missions, including spacecraft bus, payload, and/or ground operations
• Experience planning, organizing, and directing is highly desired
• Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion is preferred
• Able to provide/reinforce the credibility and commitment of L3Harris at appropriate levels in customer community
