Job Description:
- Determine design approaches and parameters
- Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of electrical / electronic design within time and cost constraints
- Utilize modeling tools and associated equipment to build models, establish operating data, conduct tests, collect data and evaluate results
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
- Perform simulations and present results to Peer engineers during design reviews
Power Analog Controls Engineering
- Design, analyze, modify, test and evaluate circuits and sub-circuits within power converters, control systems, sensor and analog electronics hardware
- Contribute to design and evaluation of complex circuit card assemblies (CCAs) to support variety of applications and operating domains
- Use electronic lab tools and equipment (benchtop power supply, digital multimeter, oscilloscope) in the process of hardware evaluation
- Power Engineering encompasses design, development, analysis, prototype building and evaluation of power converters, power line conditioners and voltage regulators. The position requires basic familiarity with power electronics and power conversion architectures
- Analog Design Engineering encompasses design, development, analysis, prototype building and evaluation of analog and sensor circuits. The position requires basic familiarity with electronic component characteristics, as well as common analog, waveform-shaping circuit configurations
- Controls Engineering encompasses design, development, analysis, prototyping, building and evaluation of controls and autonomous systems. The position requires basic familiarity with control theory and control systems, compensator design, including the rules for stability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge and/or experience with Power, Analog and Controls systems; SPICE-based simulation tools
- Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink software tools
- Knowledge of lab equipment use: Digital Multimeter (DMM), oscilloscope, programmable power supply
- Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of and/or understanding electronic components, circuit analysis and operational concepts
