Job Description:

The Lead, HRBP will plan and implement business and HR strategic initiatives resulting in continuous improvement and superior business results. Through actively participating in driving business results, the HRBP will partner with executives, leaders, and employee teams to pro-actively address the human capital objectives and needs of the business to include talent acquisition, selection, development, compensation planning, employee relations, organization effectiveness, change leadership, employee engagement & retention and communication; understanding the client area’s strategic plans and initiatives in order to provide value added recommendations. The focus is on designing, planning and implementing business initiatives that are both strategic and tactical – resulting in enhanced employee engagement, and superior business results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with segment leadership to define and execute HR strategies and talent plans that enable accomplishment of business objectives.
  • Establishes, implements and oversees human resources policies and programs by providing counsel and assistance to employees and management in HR matters.
  • Works with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources and employee relations issues.
  • May play a significant role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization.
  • Coaching leadership on matters concerning development of staff to enhance effectiveness and potential. Shifting the emphasis from resolving issues for others to building leadership capabilities to address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment.
  • Assists and/or advises management in the development and implementation of plans to promote employee engagement and positive employee relations.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics (as it relates to talent acquisition, attrition, diversity, performance, etc.) to develop solutions, programs, and recommended policies.
  • Being actively involved with the organization’s talent through participation in the recruiting process, making recommendations regarding hires and participating in talent development and succession planning; actively engaging with identified key talent.
  • Participate and/or lead projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function as assigned.
  • Manages, maintains, and audits the day-to-day processing of all employee data to include new hires, rehires, organizational changes, salary changes, and terminations
  • Designs, generates, and distributes standard and ad hoc reports for various requestors and functional leaders from PeopleSoft, SAP and Oracle HCM
  • Coordinates employee transfers, conduct exit interviews, and provides recommendations for corrective action policy revision and/or improving employee relations
  • Travel expectation less than 10%


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other technical degree and minimum nine (9) years of prior relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires US citizenship.
  • 5+ years of experience directly related to Human Resources.
  • 1+ year of data analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR generalist experience, with increasing scope and responsibility, supporting various levels within the organization
  • Experience with Performance Management, Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation, Diversity, and Organizational/Management Development.
  • Experience with team facilitation, change management, project management, performance management, employee relations, staffing, compensation, diversity and inclusion, and organizational development
  • Exhibits resourcefulness to find additional information to better understand issues and topics at hand and uses this information to present thoughtful new ideas
  • Affinity for technology, interest in or knowledge of HR systems such as PeopleSoft, PeopleFluent, Oracle HCM and SAP.
  • A high degree of professional integrity, with an eye for attention to detail.
  • Strategic approach to verbal and written communications
