Our state-of-the-art facility was built in 2011 and showcases the manufacturing area in the center of the building, bringing focus and attention to our mission-critical products and manufacturing talent. The L3Harris manufacturing area includes; temperature and humidity controlled assembly areas, ESD sensitive floors, DOD Secret cleared rooms, a Test and Integration tower, Optical and Laser test ranges, Environmental and Qualification Test capabilities, Hydrostatic pressure test systems, an anechoic test chamber, 1,800 sq ft of clean room space for FOD-sensitive optical assembly, and more! The facility also features an open-office work environment and a full-service eat-in café!
We are currently looking for an experienced, accomplished, self-motivated Electrical Engineer to design electronics for maritime applications. The Electrical Engineer must be capable of deriving requirements, selecting components, designing and analyzing circuits. Define the reliability and maintainability (R&M) requirements for the product and perform appropriate analyses and tasks to ensure the product will meet the defined R&M requirements. The Electrical Engineer would assist to Develop logistics support material and a logistics support strategy that influences the engineering design process in order to improve product reliability and maintainability, lower life cycle cost and decrease the demand for logistics support.
• Work with engineering, purchasing, and our CCA manufactures to handle EEE part availability issues and lead resolution of technical issues
• Capable of identifying alternate parts (mostly commercial) due to obsolescence and part availability issues
• Familiarity with electrical, electromechanical part technology from the 1980s to present is required
• Familiarity with military standards and commercial parts
• Be capable of reading electrical schematics and performing some analysis for the purpose of determining an alternate parts suitability
• Familiarity with PWB artwork and resolving PWB issues with vendors is a plus.
• Capable of using computers and relevant software programs such as Excel, Word, Visio
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Be cable of orchestrating engineering changes involving EEE part changes
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of Component Engineering Experience
