ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY
The Marine Systems Simulation Group is looking for a system/project engineer to assume the following responsibilities. This positions is based in Montreal, Quebec.
- Review and comment customer’s documentation of ship systems; including the propulsion, electrical systems, and auxiliary systems;
- Participate in technical meetings with customer, provide input regarding interface between ship systems and the control system (Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS));
- Support of technical assessment for potential hardware/equipment solution, including evaluation and performance testing;
- Review and comment ship system functions and specifications;
- Preparation of equipment and system level documentation;
- Preparation of test procedures for procured and designed equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be eligible for registration in the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the Government of Canada’s reliability status and Level 2 (secret) security clearance;
- Due to the Security requirements of the position, applicants must be Canadian citizen or have a landed Immigrant status. Candidates with working visa will not be retained;
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, electronic or computer engineering or any other related discipline;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in areas involving electronic/computer-based equipment and/or system technologies and applications;
- Knowledge of control systems, data acquisition technology is preferred;
- Knowledge of military, navy and environmental qualification standards and specifications is an asset;
- Bilingual French and English written and spoken with proficient English written skills.
