Maritime International, a division of L3Harris, is a leading global supplier of ITAR-Free controls and simulation solutions for marine, power and space sectors as well as naval communications, underwater acoustics, handling systems and visual landing aids. Under the leadership of the Director Human Resources, the role of the Human Resources Business Partner is participatory and strategic. The incumbent actively supports the HR function in recruiting & staffing and activities working closely with the existing HR team to ensure functional excellence.
The HR Business Partner is a driven, highly organized, outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask when priorities change. The successful candidate possesses excellent administrative and computer skills. This role includes working collaboratively with the HR team as well as all client groups to ultimately support and coordinate human resources functions and initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate is bilingual (French, English), professional, business focused, calm under pressure, a multi-tasker, sees all sides of the situation and is comfortable asking the right questions to help support the business needs. The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, where change is part of the everyday.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruiting & staffing – job requisitions, job descriptions, sourcing, pre-selection of candidates and interviews;
- Coordinates on-boarding using People Soft tools and induction programs of new employees;
- Follows up with employee integration and employee development plans;
- Manage multiple priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment;
- Attends annual career fairs;
- Translates various internal communications from English to French mainly;
- Coordinates engagement initiates and employee activities;
- Assists the Human Resources Director with various projects, reports and presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Minimum five years of relevant experience;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (knowledge of People Soft would be an asset);
- Experience with compensation, payroll and benefits administration would be important to have
- Possess a high level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability;
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
- Able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively and accurately in a very fast paced and changing work environment;
- High flexibility and adaptability to constant changes;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including external contacts;
- Ability to handle situations professionally with sensitivity, diplomacy and tact
- Bilingualism – French and English, verbal and written.
