L3Harris Technologies is currently looking for a technical coach, operations spport who will contribute to the success and growth of its MAS division located in Mirabel, Quebec.

As Technical Coach, Aircraft Maintenance (temp. 12 month) at L3 MAS you will:
Under the supervision of the methods, nomenclature & training supervisor, the technical coach, operations support plays a dual role, he will have to coordinate the learning "on the job training" of new technicians and support them technically during the realization maintenance tasks. He thus plays a key role with new technicians since he must ensure that maintenance work is carried out in quality, on schedule and while ensuring a transfer of knowledge.

To achieve this, you will be called upon to:

Coordination component

  • Coordinate with team leaders and supervisors the maintenance tasks that will be assigned to the student technicians;
  • Assign maintenance tasks to student technicians;
  • Assign a technical mentor to learning technicians in collaboration with team leaders and supervisors, operations if he himself is not available;
  • Ensure that learning technicians are continuously busy and chaperoned to perform maintenance tasks;
  • Monitor the development of the apprenticeship technicians' learning;
  • Monitor the progress of individual coaching plans for student technicians and make recommendations to the person responsible for assigning authorities;
  • Ensure the follow-up of the CF-18 type courses;
  • Correct the exams and exercises related to the CF-18 standard course.

Technical support component

  • Act as a technical support for student technicians in order to standardize their work techniques and quality;
  • Ensure that maintenance work is carried out according to the work instructions and maintenance manuals by accompanying the student technicians;
  • Transmit good practices in the aeronautical industry (HSE, technical rigor, interpersonal skills, etc.);
  • Evaluate the technical aspect of the work carried out by the student technicians and transmit the observations and findings to the person responsible for assigning the authorities;
  • Support and support technicians for issues related to processes, work instructions and maintenance manuals;
  • Suggest opportunities for improvement and corrections to anomalies found in work instructions, procedures, maintenance manuals;
  • Assist and support technicians in SAP and DMS navigation;
  • Participate in the investigation of anomalies found and suggest possible solutions.

  • Have several years of experience (minimum 10 years) and have obtained an SCA / ACA authorization in the specific trade of pre-flight mechanic
  • Possess the CF-18 standard course (asset);
  • Easy to navigate in technical documents (drawings, maintenance manuals);
  • Mastery of DMS software;
  • Mastery of SAP software (asset);
  • Intermediate level bilingualism; must be able to write documents and reports in English;
  • Excellent skills for teamwork, collaboration, communication and interpersonal relations.

Operational requirements :

  • Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  • Location not accessible via public transportation, car required.
