Avionics Technicians at a Glance
This team is one of our three primary teams responsible for maintaining Canada's CF-18 fleet.. These technicians are specialized in the avionics systems of the aircraft. Thanks to these teams, we have helped maintain and extend the useful life of the CF-18 while enabling the Department of National Defence to fulfill its role at home and abroad.
Several possibilities for task enrichment may be available to them. Our avionics technicians can be selected to fill quality control positions and perform certification tasks on aircraft. This position also offers opportunities to learn new state-of-the-art systems, such as new on-board communication and data encryption, navigation or radar systems. Finally, it also offers the opportunity to learn and be trained on new tasks, such as being a member of an emergency or damaged aircraft recovery team, wherever the Canadian Armed Forces are called upon to operate.
The expertise we are looking for
Our avionics technicians perform all the various maintenance or modification tasks on an aircraft. They must be excellent team players.
We are looking for people with a high level of professionalism who are passionate about aeronautics and who like to take on challenges.
Operational requirements:
