Job Description
Primary responsibility is;
- Lead and coordinate all activity for full compliance to AS9100 standard requirements for the division
- Lead and coordinate successful internal audits and annual recertification audits
- Lead and coordinate other quality systems activities including, corrective actions, metrics tracking, Supplier Performance and other Quality systems activities as assigned by the Quality Director.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop and improve ongoing AS9100 requirements, and coordinate successful annual
- external audit.
- Interface with various company departments to assist in resolve quality problems and provide information to support ISO/AS9100 requirements
- Performs overall analysis of quality data performance and prepares reports for management on quality trends and actions to improve.
- As Lead QMS auditor; schedule, coordinate, train, track, improve and ensure all division Internal Audits are completed annually.
- Manage the Approved Supplier Listing. Perform supplier Audits as required. Maintains Supply Survey questionnaires and relevant support certifications/documents. Track supplier performance and Maintain the Supplier Corrective Action database.
- Overall ownership to Coordinate the Corrective action system for Customers, Suppliers, Internal process and Internal audits. Provide training and support to ensure CAR’s are issued, completed and tracked per schedule and requirements. Provide reports and analysis as needed
- Perform other quality system related activities as requested by the Quality Director.
Experience/Knowledge/Training:
- Requires a college degree, preferably in a technical field and/or a minimum of two to four years of related experience.
- Requires understanding and experience with ISO/AS9100 Quality System requirements, and auditing.
- Requires experience implementing QA procedures in the operations and working knowledge of software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Requires understanding and experience in systems for Calibration requirements, PM requirements, and Corrective action system requirements.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion. Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and squat. Able to occasionally push, and reach. Ability to use keyboard for extended periods of time. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Will be exposed to some or all of the following: fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. May be required to move items 25 pounds for distances of up to 25 feet. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
