Job Description:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for a wide variety of detailed budgeting, financial analysis, communication, coordination, along with standard and adhoc reporting for the GBS (Global Business Services) organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing, preparing, and administering the budget for GBS
    • Establish AOP, monitor department adherence to approved budget, perform budget forecast updates
    • Consolidate department allocations
    • Collaborate with contract compliance group
  • Identify, develop, and report on appropriate functional metrics
    • Service, quality, & cost     
    • Consolidate / Present / Collaborate with GBS management on monthly results
  • Conduct and interpret detailed financial analysis
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly reporting including variance and trend analysis for management review
  • Prepare various ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 2 years prior experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with complex Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, V lookups etc.
  • Experience with Hyperion (HFM / Planning)
  • PeopleSoft Financials experience
  • Basic understanding of Accounts Payable, Indirect Procurement, Payroll, Tax  
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Ability to work with management and other functional areas in a fast-paced multiple project environment with changing priorities
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Proactive in solving problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills 
  • Ability to summarize and present findings to different audiences from team members to executive staff
