Job Location: Mason, Ohio
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Analog Design Engineer with experience or knowledge of designing, testing, or analyzing Power Supplies, Sensor Circuits, and associated analog circuitry. This individual will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge Infrared Product lines. Sample product line you will work on are Shipboard IR Sensor Systems and ultra-high speed and ultra-large format Infrared Cameras. L3Harris Space and Sensors division is in Cincinnati, OH. L3Harris Space and Sensors is an established pioneer in space exploration and military/defense technology. As a first-rank engineering and production company, L3Harris Space and Sensors is engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of highly sophisticated electronics equipment that is used in a variety of product areas for government, civil and commercial applications.
Essential Functions:
- Product Development
- Work in a team environment to ensure all aspects of your design efforts will meet technical, schedule and design-to-cost goals
- Interfacing effectively with team members throughout the organization
- Internal Research and Development
- Design, Simulate, and Analyze analog circuits including power supplies, sensors, motor drivers, etc.
- Component selection
- Analysis of power consumption, component stress and worst case performance
- Technical presentations
- Engineering Support to Production
- Engineering Support for Delivered Products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge and/or experience with general design and implementation of Analog Circuits, power supplies, sensor circuits, IR and Space products
- Knowledge and/or experience with circuit design and simulation tools
- Matlab
- Spice Modeling: PSpice, LTSpice
- Schematic Capture such as Xpedition or DXDesigner
- Knowledge and/or experience with circuit analysis
- Node Analysis
- Loop Analysis
- Component selection and analysis
- Worst Case/Monte Carlo Analysis
- Knowledge and/or experience with circuit testing
- Basic test equipment fundamentals and calibration
- O-Scope, Multimeter, Impedance meters, loop analysis, power supplies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in multi-disciplined teams
- Organizational skills to manage a diverse workload
