Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Technical support engineer to be part of the Operations and Maintenance group for the ADS-B program.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge monitoring and managing the performance of the individual system elements and its related services as well as integrity, professionalism, and work ethic. This position works in conjunction with NOC operations support system troubleshooting issues while analyzing the impact of outages in order to initiate proper response. The individual should easily adapts to changing environments and multiple competing demands. Is equally comfortable working as an individual or in a group setting and able to interact with all levels of management.
Essential Functions:
- Investigates and resolves trouble tickets that are escalated to Tier II from the NOC. Escalates to Tier III as necessary.
- Determines the criticality of all open “Field Actions” and prioritizes and schedules field technicians for preventive and corrective maintenances at radio sites and Service Delivery Points (SDPs).
- Reviews and evaluates and sometimes provides approvals as necessary to all system maintenance requests.
- Tracks progress of all O&M field maintenance operations and provides to O&M Director on a weekly basis.
- Creates monthly system performance reports to support program meetings.
- Supports system troubleshooting activities.
- Works with other members of the team to generate creative and innovative solutions to issues.
- Participates on the development and reviews of the status reports to evaluate system performance and identify anomalies or problems.
- Documents test results and provides test progress and reports that will be used in assessing progress.
- Supports Trouble Ticket System customization projects.
- Supports a 24/7/365.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years Operations Center experience.
- Network maintenance background required.
- Radio frequency and antenna systems background desired.
- Familiar with Remedy trouble ticketing system, or any other ticket system knowledge.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite– specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Public Trust Clearance Requried.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Two years of FAA and avionics systems experience.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Possess excellent communication skills, quality commitment, customer focus, strong interpersonal skills and be adaptable.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.A results-oriented individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills, familiar with Unix or Linux operating systems.
