Job Summary

Maintains synchronization of a supply chain between various organizations, customers, and suppliers by management inventory systems, simulation, and modeling forecasting data. Monitors end-user inventory demand and material on-hand or in-transit in order to optimize supply chain planning and meet program requirements. Responsible for complex processes and organizational relationships that improve the capability of supply chain management and contribute to the improvement of the Company.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating material needs and manufacturing plans among various organizations within the Company, customers, and suppliers by managing inventory systems and using simulations, and modeling forecasting data.
  • Accountable for resolving internal and external delays on material.
  • Monitors end-user inventory demands and materials on-hand or in transit.
  • Provides status to leadership on any material delays which may impact production schedule, and provides suggestions on resolutions.
  • Incorporate planning decisions from end users and supplier information to reduce materials and product variability, resulting in optimal solutions.
  • Negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely deliveries. Coordinate with end-users regarding material issues.
  • Implements, oversees, documents, and maintains process improvements.
  • Ensures organization compliance with inventory management policies, contract requirements, and government regulations.
  • Ensure Company inventory and material management processes and procedures are compatible with all contractors and subcontractors.
  • Recommends changes to Company policies.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience 2 years post-secondary Associate’s degree and minimum 8 years prior related experience.


  • Manufacturing, configuration management, production, and inventory control processes.
  • Commercial and government procurement.
  • Company policies and practices.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Develop and execute an MRP plan using engineering, contract, and manufacturing data.
  • Use a computer and applicable software.
  • Computerized MRP systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resolution of delinquent deliveries, engineering problems, and material shortages.
