Job Title: Senior Principal, Project Management - Operations Management

Job Description:

Perform liaison activities on behalf of Operations with the Program Office and Engineering. Provide Operations’ insight and planning activities for the RECON Business area.

Essential Functions:

Bid and Pursuit activity:

  • Coordinate Engineering business approach with Ops Estimating
  • Validate initial labor spread in LTS or IMS at time of bid for future manpower needs. Adjust at time of award and coordinate through Operations adjusting at the beginning of each program.
  • Review Ops bids and sign off on OGRR bid review package

Execution alignment:

  • Verify & monitor drawing tree is complete with valid release dates
  • Align dates with HDL Phase Plans
  • Coordinate Supply Chain and Manufacturing ability to support and adjust schedule disconnects across all three functional areas.
  • Provide SIOP reviews with both PMO, Finance and Ops
  • ID staffing concerns to Deputy and VP Operations
  • Review contract performance in LTS with PMO and OPS
  • Perform capacity analysis and provide PMO critical insight for program planning
  • Support all program start up reviews and and Manufacturing Readiness. Engage PMO, MPM, and Engineering early for Make/Buy opportunities

Engagement:

  • PMO, ENG, and OPS staff
  • Material Status for Programs (Blackout)
  • LTS, SIOP, OGRR, IPT, Critical A/C schedule programs
  • Capacity Planning and Hangar stack chart planning
  • PMO planning activities
  • Engage VP OPS early for critical path support and key events to ensure performance to requirements and customer satisfactions

  • Recognized as an external and internal expert and thought leader with deep and substantive technical expertise as well as advanced business knowledge and leadership capabilities.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of the organization on matters of strategic importance to influence executive leadership on new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Establishes overall direction for new processes, systems, and solutions.
  • Recommends and implements strategies and develops operational plans/goals with direct impact to the achievement against functional strategies.

  • Responsible for developing resource plans and programs for area of responsibility to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor degree with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of applicable experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.

  • Significant Organization Management experience within the defense industry required.
  • Strong leadership and liaison experience required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills required.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

Position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to maintain the stated clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
