Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is searching for a motivated and energetic Program Manager (PM) to contribute to the success of the RCG Avionics Program Team. The Avionics program area spans multiple aspects of the program lifecycle, from initial development through to delivery and logistics support. This Program Manager (PM) position has responsibility for working with the program team to lead avionics modification and maintenance, system development, integration, and test. This includes responsibility for proposal preparation and negotiation, preparation of component SOWs and specifications, and contract performance (cost, schedule, and quality).
- Function as the point-of-contact between the Program Office, Functional Management, the Customer, subcontractors, cross-sector groups, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts to ensure successful program execution.
- Responsible to clearly communicate with the customer, as well as upper management, on program progress.
- The PM directs the work of functional employees in an influence without authority position, positively influence in the execution of the assigned projects while establishing and monitoring performance to schedules, plans and milestones. The selected individual must set the highest ethical standards for self and others.
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to maintain the stated clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Must be able to successfully lead a cross-functional team comprised of engineering, manufacturing, and support areas to achieve successful performance to budget and contract completion on schedule.
- Previous experience with engineering development is preferred.
- Customer liaison experience preferred. Will interface with and present proposed solutions and progress updates to customer representatives.
- Ability to work with team members to develop customer specifications and correspondence related to new systems requirements.
- Proven team player with the ability to work effectively with others; has outstanding customer relationship skills.
- Preferred experience with military aircraft platforms and integration systems and ground systems.
- Must be able to support multiple efforts, changing priorities and can maintain professional behavior in high-pressure situations.
- Have an understanding of engineering drawing tree structure and system-level requirements design practices and hardware/software specification development is desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Project
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of manpower planning, milestone scheduling, PM tools, and related financial management.
- Experience with SAP and material processes strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting government contractor/DOD/Aerospace companies.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System and risk management.
- Compliance to and execution of policies, procedures and process.
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification
- Position may require approximately 20% travel.
