Job Title: Senior Specialist, Program Management (Supply Chain)

Job Location: Greenville, Texas or Hybrid. Responsibilities can be performed remotely two or three days per week depending upon the current demands of the program.

Job Description:

Perform function of Program Manager to Supply Chain interface by providing Program Leadership and Operations teams with timely analysis, guidance, and strategies to ensure that the supply chain is in the best position to execute the demand requirements and achieve the total operational forecast. This includes generating and publishing to key stakeholders, monthly and weekly metrics, including clear identification of risks and assumptions highlighting significant impacts since release of previous report.

Develop methods for providing accurate demand forecasts for internal fabrication, subcontract material, and general procurement items by using a combination of statistical forecasting and integrated scheduling methodologies coupled with insights gained via partnering with cross functional organizations. Ensure consistent integration into the forecast of program management insights, historical trends, and supply chain capacity with the goal of reducing working capital and minimizing forecast error.

  • Skilled at evaluating and assessing the programs’ strengths and weaknesses to implement process improvements for overall program success.
  • Evaluate and capitalize on the existing supply chain demands to find ways to enhance and maximize performance against internal and customer-driven goals.
  • Analyze, establish or modify, and maintain key program metrics and deliverables for presentation to internal and customer leadership. Focus should be to develop KPI’s that define the company targets and drive cross functional behavior to that end.
  • Identify program risks associated with external supply base, material discrepancies, and delivery schedule concerns. Support Subcontracts Management and other purchasing specialist to mitigate and resolve concerns in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and support implementation of new MRP processes, specific systems, and tools integration with the forecasting system.
  • Establish focused cross functional teams or collaborate with existing cross functional teams to reduce vendor lead times, offload discrepancies, and quality escapes. Must possess demonstrated ability to both lead and function as a member of a team.
  • Proactively develop others within the organization through the sharing of best demonstrated processes and knowledge transference. Provide cross functional leadership across departments to effectively solve for demand related issues.
  • Possess Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Responsible for implementing methods, approaches, and solutions to maximize efficiency and program success.

In addition to position-specific work, as outlined above, the Supply Chain Program Manager will act as a lead on special projects, providing leadership as a functional expert to represent Program Supply Chain. Examples include but are not limited to: New development products, new subcontractor relationships, obsolescence management, manufacturing offloads, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree with a nine (9) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

  • Combined experience (education and career) in supply chain/manufacturing environment (with MRP/ERP system).
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office products & SAP.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to lead specifically in an influence without authority position, positively influence, and train and develop direct reports, peers, and others.
  • Strong communication skills, both in written and verbal form.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinker for the long-term benefit of the program.
  • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working with cross functional teams.
  • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys working in a fast-paced environment on a development program.
  • Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger Monday to Friday.
  • Experience supporting government contractor/DOD/Aerospace companies preferred.
  • Knowledgeable with US Government Supply Chain Regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Understanding of EECN & ITARS classification requirements and OEM support capabilities with respect to classifying materials preferred.

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
