Job Description:
The ISR Systems Lead Project engineer is responsible for multiple ISR aircraft for international customers on both commercially derived and military aircraft. Primary responsibility is the sustainment and lifecycle management of fielded aircraft, ground systems and support systems.
The Project Engineer is responsible for and bears authority for the program under the direction of the Program Manager (PM). This includes but is not limited to:
- Planning and execution of program activities
- Documenting, and approval of program plans
- Ensuring life cycle process adherence
- Risk identification and management
- Overall program coordination during the program lifecycle
To this end the individual Engineering Functional Task Leaders (Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Specialty Engineering, Logistic Engineering, Technical Publications, Field Support Engineers, etc.) report to/and take direction from the PE for the assigned program operations.
The Project Engineer is also responsible for program technical performance that extends beyond the "Engineering" functions, to ensuring technical compliance within the total operations activities (i.e. logistic support, continued airworthiness, and operational readiness). In addition, Project Engineers are the key technical interfaces to Customers and have the responsibility/opportunity to interact with Customers at every phase of our program lifecycles.

- Program Planning, Guidance, and Execution
- Customer Interaction and Communication

- Engineering Execution
Qualifications:
- Must have an active DoD secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance and the ability to maintain it is a requirement
- Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have in-depth knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- International travel may be required
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience as a software Agile Product Owner or in managing software product development from requirements through delivery
- Experience with software prototyping, iterative development, and understanding of Agile principles
- Experience with Imagery Intelligence, Signals Intelligence, Direction Finding Systems
- Computer network architectures with a working knowledge of Multiple Independent Levels of Security Systems or Multi-Level Security Systems
- Export Compliance/ITAR Regulations
- Training

- Foreign Military Sale experience, Big Safari Program experience
- Bid and Proposal expertise
