Job Description:

Under the direction and mentorship of the Division Continuous Improvement Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for division improvements that lead to increased efficiencies as well as training, mentoring, influencing and applying lean tools. The candidate will conduct studies pertaining to cost / schedule control, cost reduction and inventory control to identify and improve key areas of operation within the business. Analyze data and lead root cause and corrective actions teams to preemptively addressed negative metric trends before targets are missed and/or reactive analysis to return metrics to optimal performance levels. The candidate will also be responsible for leading the sites visual management initiatives and digital transformation of performance metrics.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight; to include leading the achievement of division savings goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to analyze the business and communicate major process improvement opportunities focused on waste elimination and variation reduction.
  • Assist in the administration of policies established for improved organizational effectiveness and core operational excellence processes across the organization.
  • Assist in the development of project charters, project plans and obtain leadership sponsorship.
  • Administer project implementation providing training, facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and project management.


  • Ability to track progress across the business relative to Process Excellence capability, development and implementation maturity.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer appropriate metrics, and report on progress, achievements and associated business results within all departments.
  • Demonstrated tool usage (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Standardization, etc)
  • Ability to work works under moderate supervision with set objectives provided
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or Quality Engineering and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Six Sigma Certification Green Belt (Black Belt Highly Preferred)
