Job Description:

Schedule: 9/80 work week (6a.m.-7a.m. start/flexible)

**Active Secret Security Clearance required**

**Periods of Installation-require 12 hour days, periods at sea & domestic/International travel.**

Fully proficient support individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform assembly and technician level skills on equipment used in at-sea installations.
  • General maintenance and repair on mechanical equipment. Assist in metal fabrication and assembly.
  • Perform work as Marine Vessel Deck Crew during offshore cabled sensor installations.
  • Perform basic rigging tasks associated with Crane Operations.
  • Follow written procedures and drawings.
  • Operate power tools.
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written, or verbal instructions.
  • May work with complex machines or computer systems.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior mechanical, or electromechanical experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior mechanical, or electromechanical experience,
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a Active Secret Security Clearance required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • General mechanical system operation understanding hydraulics.
  • Experience as rigger for crane operations.
  • Experience working offshore, on Marine Vessels and Barges.
  • Experience with the logistics involved with the movement of large pieces of equipment domestically and internationally.
