Job Description:
L3Harris corporation is seeking a dynamic Production Planner to lead execution for Payload Assembly Integration and Test activities in support of mission critical space sensors. Role will have an immediate impact on the future of responsive space, by developing production strategies, influencing , and producing process to rapidly field highly reliable lifesaving optical payloads.
Essential Functions:
- Production Planner plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors products through the complete production cycle of mature production program units to meet requirements
- Advises operations of the status of work in progress & risks to meeting internal master schedule
- Effective collaboration and coordination with manufacturing assemblers/technicians, material management, product line managers, manufacturing engineers and quality are critical to the role
- Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments
- Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions

- Releases work orders to production floor based on internal master schedule, part availability and current capacity
- Monitors manufacturing conformance to master schedule using Control systems and reports
- Expedites needed make items based on master schedule
- Directly oversees operational measures including but not limited to efficiency, floor inventory accuracy, release on time and on time delivery
- Reports variances and action plans to address
- Manages and controls manufacturing floor stock for assigned programs
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed

- Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical internal customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, peers and subordinates
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible
- Organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently
- Ability to develop Microsoft Project Schedules and complete critical path analysis
- Experience with Power Bi or other data analysis tools
