For more than 55 years, domestic and international customers have turned to L3Harris to provide the world’s most advanced sensors, payloads, and small satellites to deliver integrated information and intelligence. Our customers turn to us to solve the world’s most difficult problems in environmental and missile defense missions. With recent program wins, we are looking for software developers to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN, to be part of a cross-discipline engineering team in the development of our next generation sensors and payloads.
Join our team and Design, develop, operate and maintain software components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products. Develop real time embedded systems involving SW for digital signal processing, electronic warfare, and control and display components. Interface with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, integration and test, requirements sell off, and operations and maintenance of embedded software systems
- Ensure that products/projects delivered meet customer requirements and specifications
- Drive process improvements to aid in team coordination and maintain delivery schedule
- Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field and 2 years experience, OR, 0 - 2 Years experience with Graduate Degree.
- Prior experience Embedded Software Engineering experience.
- Prior experience with C++ and Real Time Operating Systems Experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Electronic Warfare Background
- Active Secret Clearance
- Capable of working on both high and low level software
- VxWorks or similar embedded OS experience
- UML design experience
