Job Description:
This position will be part of the company’s software engineering team with responsibilities for producing software for the IVER family of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and associated support equipment. This role shall be involved with testing/developing software for the AUV mission planning and controls of the AUV.
The candidate must be able to clearly communicate both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. Strong interpersonal skills are required due to continual interaction with customers and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Support AUV mission planning software
- Develop and test cases through simulation
- Develop unit test
- Support existing vehicle software
- Support current vehicle sensor software
- Identify bugs/improvements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences or related field
* GPA of 3.0 or greater
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Unity
- Robotic systems experience
- Experience with autonomous underwater vehicle sensor payloads (such as Doppler velocity logs, Sidescan sonar, Multibeam and Internal navigation systems)
- Experence configuring windows and linux operating systems
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps
