Job Description:

This is an opportunity to take on unique challenges, expand your skills and experience, and contribute to next generation systems technology products that support war fighters for the U.S.A. and our allies. 

As a Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to a Systems Engineering team in design, development, implementation, testing and analysis of C2 System sensor products to support the vital NSDC missions of our warfighters.  This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together.  We have a long history of innovative and exceptional performance; we have earned our place as a trusted provider to our customers.

In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Systems engineering across the systems development lifecycle within an agile development team
  • Manage and monitoring virtualization environments
  • Use, configure, maintain hardware platform
  • Use NSX-T objects and components

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Ability to take / pass CI polygraph
  • 4 plus years of engineering experience
  • DoD project experience supporting GOV/DoD customers
  • Experience with VMware virtual environments: vMotion, vCenter, vSAN, vRealize, and vROPS
  • VCP-DCV-level knowledge of vSphere products
  • Experience with Dell hardware including EMC FX2 chassis and blade servers
  • Experience with NSX-T objects and component creation via GUI and API
  • Experience with automation tools such as vRA, PowerCLI, Terraform, and CloudFormation
  • VMWare Certified Associate (VCA) certification (minimum).
  • Experience managing and monitoring virtualization environments, including performance metrics and analysis

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMWare ESX environments and multiple data centers
  • Ability to get Security + certification within 6 months of start

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $69,000- $127,500 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits including: health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements
