Job Description:
The Supervisor, Operations Management will support the production of Circuit Card Assembly units for high-reliability electronic warfare applications in a low-to-medium volume, high-mix product environment. Responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day work direction for direct reports, focusing on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions
- Manage the SMT Line within Circuit Card Assembly operations, overseeing production, quality, safety, and delivery metrics/targets
- Provide support on technical issues as they arise and training to operators on new products or processes, monitoring adherence to documented manufacturing processes
- Support AS9100, DCMA, and internal quality audits; investigate and initiate corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
- Serve as a lab custodian for Clean Room Assembly Operations, managing calibration of tooling and equipment and following lockout/tag-out procedures
- Ensure manufacturing “best practices” are in place, focusing efforts on continuous improvement opportunities within Circuit Card Assembly processes and procedures
- Take ownership of workplace safety, adhering to safety guidelines and actively creating a safe environment by raising any and all safety concerns
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to implement repeatable and documented manufacturing processes, and work to continuously improve existing process
- Implement and manage all facets of work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodology
- 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment
- Technical knowledge of electronics and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication
- Technical knowledge of soldering, coating, and electrical assembly
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to present ideas and data to a group
