Job Location:Clifton, NJ
Job Description:
Quality Inspector will inspect production hardware in accordance with the applicable specifications/ drawing requirements and review supporting assembly instructions. Maintain quality evaluation & control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished hardware on highly complex electronic & mechanical spaceflight assemblies. Works independently. Proven ability to identify non-conformances and work closely with internal/external customers on defect resolution. Ability to work with cross-functional team of operators, engineers and program management team in a fast-paced environment. Willing to travel to supplier sites to conduct source inspections.
Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in aerospace industry
- Experience evaluating complex electronic hardware, under magnification, to IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum and/or IPC-620 is required.
- Certified, or the ability to obtain certification to the above referenced workmanship standards
- Experience with engineering drawing review and interpretation
- Familiarity with common measuring devices
- Associates degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of Failure reporting tool
- Familiarity with AS9100D including experience performing process audit
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis
- Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and work with cross functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to review assembly/ test documentation for appropriate traceability and in accordance with internal company procedures
- Active DoD clearance (Secret or higher)
