Job Description: In this role you will work cross functionally within the Space & Sensors Division and autonomously when required. The ideal candidate will be able to establish a working relationship with the customer, and the operations and contracts teams to drive compliance and visibility to the Government Property function located in Mason, OH. The individual will be responsible for developing process, planning, controlling, and managing procedures and policies related to Government Owned Property. This will including warehousing, inventory control, receiving process, material storage practices, and equipment tracking. Additionally, the individual will work to establish and modify operational methods and procedures, train new users, and manage and direct warehousing activities.
- Accountability of Government Furnished Property (GFP) managed and possessed by employees/contractors. Own the process to valuate, identify, track, and report GFP.
- Monitor and review transactions to include movement, consumption, disposition, gains and losses for all GFE reportable items.
- Perform investigations and transaction corrections as required through partnership with Program Management and Contracts.
- Generate reports from CostPoint to ensure Key Support Documents (KSD) will be captured based on transaction type using the government approved KSD Matrix and stored for monthly reporting.
- Interface with Operations team regarding inventory accuracy and completion. Support monthly PMO audits for inventory reported customer reports to provide documentation of gains/losses including the valuation of the changes.
- Set objectives for job area to meet the goals of projects and assignments.
- Provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area, including development of written processes and procedures based on contract requirements.
- Explain and interpret processes and procedures to others within and outside the job area.
- Work under general supervision. May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. May manage projects at this level with responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience managing government assets/property or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology and requirements is required.
- Experience working with various parts and products such as: Test Equipment, Tooling, Machining, Hardware, Electronics in an aerospace environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience working with a variety of manufacturing processes and personnel
- Advanced experience with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Deltek CostPoint System knowledge
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Lean Manufacturing training or 6 Sigma certification.
