Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Cyber Intelligence

Job Location: Chesapeake, VA

Job Description:

Perform all necessary responsibilities of Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for Sonar and Command Systems Business Unit. The ISSM establishes, documents, and monitors an operating unit's cyber security program implementation plan, and ensures compliance with DOE management policies. The ISSM also serves as the authorizing officer for all of an operating unit's cyber security issues.

Essential Functions:

Activities of the ISSM include:

• For all secure computers, AntiVirus definitions must be updated on a weekly basis, Microsoft security updates must be updated on a monthly basis, various quarterly, semi-annual and annual controls require ongoing maintenance.

• Assist relevant users with activities related to classified processing.

• Responsible for configuration, accreditation, and maintenance of all on-site classified processing systems.

• Instrumental in design and implementation of new Closed Area build-out for standalone classified LAN implementation.


  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. 
  • Will consider a substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

- Intimate knowledge of configuring operating systems per DCSA requirements.

- Current SECRET DoD Security Clearance

- Experience with the RMF, eMASS, and DIACAP processes

- Maintain all support documentation for classified systems

- Familiarity with security protocols

Other responsibilities include intimate knowledge of Windows and LINUX operating systems, hardware and software networking configuration, and engineering IT user support.
