Job Title: Sr. Associate, Inventory Management
Job Location: Camden, NJ
Schedule: 9/80 Default
This role will support business with focus on implementing, maintaining, and improving inventory management processes. This role will be managing the team’s use of the MRP system to execute inventory management transactions including stockroom material pulls, distributions, issue resolution, and general prioritization of tasks.
Qualified candidates will interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular communications of status, issues, improvements, and corrective actions and be able to demonstrate agility amongst a variety of tasks.
Essential Functions:
Work with Manager of Inventory Management and Operations Management to support execution of a production plan by means of material lead time analysis, inventory management, and production lead time analysis. Daily tasks include processing of MRP transactions and printing material pulls, validating material receipts, distribution of material, inventory corrections, validating cycle counts, and adminstrative tasks required for completion of material inventory moves. Understanding and execution of all business policy and procedures for compliance to preserve industry certifications.
• Support weekly reviews of material inventory status including but not limited to:
- Material Pull Efficiencies
- Inventory Cycle Count
• Ability to read electronics Part Numbers with significant attention to detail
• Understand the use of MRP systems and ensure accuracy of MRP transactions
• Support a group of working stockroom associates to ensure work is completed timely
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities daily
• Desire for, and implementation of, continous improvement
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MRP
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior Experience in engineering and operations/manufacturing environment. Military contractor / Defense industry background is preferred
- Objective thinker with a passion for problem solving and the ability to execute challenging tasks to completion
- Active SECRET clearance
- Understanding of Deltek Costpoint or SAP
- Understanding of MMAS, Cycle Counts, and Financial Inventory Reporting
- Prior Experience in system or data migration
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Understanding of inventory management
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
- Ability to multi-task within tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
