Essential Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for accountability and control of Government owned property and material.
  • Read, interpret and apply company policies and procedures and contract requirements as they relate to property management.
  • Maintenance of property records from acquisition to disposal within company and customer business systems.
  • Assist with acquisition authority, property ownership, identification, maintenance, utilization, and property storage requirements in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Prepare property systems data and utilize to manage and complete property reports and utilize metrics to determine the "health" of property processes.
  • Assist in a teaming environment across L3Harris WESCAM.
  • Develop desk instructions for property processes within L3Harris WESCAM Property Management
  • Assist with Request for Quotation (RFQ) inputs as it relates to Property Management
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal/external customers, supporting all requirements and requests to ensure that effective controls are implemented and sustained.
  • Ability to review and understand contract language as it pertains to property requirements in the areas of: Utilization, Acquisition, Reporting, and Lost, Theft, Damaged, and Destroyed (LTDD's).
  • Perform, coordinate, and direct property control activities to ensure the ongoing accountability of government and company-owned property in accordance with applicable federal and corporate regulations and policies.
  • Assist with acquisition authority, property ownership, identification, maintenance, utilization, and property storage requirements in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Monitor L3Harris WESCAM prime, subcontractor control of, and accountability for materials and equipment.
  • Work with the Government Property Administrator(s) for clarification on property questions and remain abreast of changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the L3Harris WESCAM Purchasing and Receiving Departments to identify and establish control of accountable property upon receipt.
  • Coordinate with the Information Technology department to create "real-time" customer available reports and develop improvements and enhancements to the automated property control records.
  • Perform and Coordinate global physical inventory, reconciliation, and reporting of Customer and Wescam owned property
  • Perform monthly customer property record reconciliation
  • Coordinate disposal of customer owned scrap
  • Develop, recommend, and communicate property policy and procedure to ensure continuing compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Travel required with occasional 3-4 night stay to execute sub-contract audits or Property Management related meetings.

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Records and process management
  • Asset Management background.
  • Ability to understand, and locate property provisions within government contracts or customer purchase orders.
  • Computer background related to data queries, extraction, and reports, using reporting tools a must and utilize multiple computer applications including MSOffice.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communicator both written and oral.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Quick learner with new software, systems and processes.
  • Ability to collect data to develop detailed cost quotations.
  • Poised and calm under pressure, an adept problem-solver.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate formal meetings - including the recording of action items.
  • Experience within the Aerospace / High Tech industry preferably in Maintenance Repair Organization/Support environment, preferable.
  • Experience with export and customs compliance with knowledge in CGP, ITAR and controlled goods, an asset but not required.
  • Competent presentation skills.
  • Minimum three to five years Customer Service experience.
